The RCAF Centennial Ball held on Saturday, 1 June 2024 at the Infinity Convention Centre was a signature event for the RCAF Centennial Year.
The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Centennial Ball filled the Infinity Convention Centre with 740 guests on Saturday, 1 June 2024. This exquisite night marked the celebration of 100 years of service for the RCAF as a distinct military element within Canada. Guests were entertained by the Serenade of Strings from the Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Ottawa & Uplands chapters of the Canadian Military Wives Choir, the RCAF Pipes & Drums and the RCAF Band Jet Stream from Winnipeg. The highlights of the evening were the attendance of Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, the live painting by renowned artist David Arrigo, the awarding of the Guinness World Record for “the most landmarks illuminated in 24 hours” (56) and the presentation of the King Charles III Coronation Medal to Honorary LGen Richard Rohmer by the Governor General of Canada for his lifetime of dedication and commitment to Canada.
Another successful and spectacular RCAF Ball is in the history books. Many thanks to all the committee members, sponsors, partners, supporters and you, our RCAF members, past and present, for making this event so special in our centennial year.
